I've been having a great time riding the Reverb Nation Blues Chart for New York City to number 3! I was languishing back in the pack at between 382 and 402 until one day I got an email saying I was number 38. "What?" I said. Not wanting to pass up an opportunity I jumped right on it and started promoting through Facebook, email, my friends and however else I could think of. Well, now I'm sitting at number 3.

Mind you this is just the New York City chart. On the national chart I'm number 141, or something like that. So, even though the accomplishment may be slight, it certainly has raised awareness of me and my music with a lot of folks. I know it doesn't entitle me to an appellation like "King" or "Prince," but maybe, just maybe, I might adopt the somewhat lesser title of "Lieutenant Governor of the Blues," or something like that.

If you haven't checked me out yet, here's the Reverb Nation player. Play one or play them all. I hope you enjoy them.

This video is from my album, "Groovey Boy." The song is called "Waiting for the Other Shoe to Drop." All the songs from this album are available on iTunes and other internet music sites. It's a message with a lot of humor and some great animation from Mario Barazza, shot in a funky downtown New York City club on Warren Street called The Raccoon Lodge. No, Ralph and Norton were not there, but Alice and Trixie were.

Jimmy Buffett, Roger, Greg "Fingers" Taylor, Harry Dailey and Phillip Fajardo (the Original Coral Reefer Band) go on the road. One of our first gigs together in 1975.
