Harry Dailey, Jimmy Buffett and Greg Fingers TaylorHere's another old picture of the original Coral Reefers during that first year on the road. I loved that old Gibson Birdland that Jimmy's playing. I helped him pick it out at George Gruen's guitar shop in Nashville. I wonder where it is now. On the left is the late, great, Harry Dailey and far right is Fingers Taylor. Squatting down by the drums in back is our roadie, Rick Holcombe. Oh what I wouldn't give for a roadie these days. The ladies were in much greater supply then as well. Oh, the good old days...

This video is from my album, "Groovey Boy." The song is called "Waiting for the Other Shoe to Drop." All the songs from this album are available on iTunes and other internet music sites. It's a message with a lot of humor and some great animation from Mario Barazza, shot in a funky downtown New York City club on Warren Street called The Raccoon Lodge. No, Ralph and Norton were not there, but Alice and Trixie were.

Jimmy Buffett, Roger, Greg "Fingers" Taylor, Harry Dailey and Phillip Fajardo (the Original Coral Reefer Band) go on the road. One of our first gigs together in 1975.
